Bridal Market: Day 1

“How do you pick out all of your gowns?”  That’s the number one question we get asked when people walk in our store.  Well, it’s not as simple as flipping through catalogs and making selections.  But it’s so, so much more fun!  Twice a year, we travel to NYC for bridal market where designers showcase their latest collections.  Models, runway shows, dresses, veils, belts, jewelry.  It’s a wedding lover’s dream.

We arrived in NYC late last night, and bridal market was well under way.  To catch up, we had a day full of scheduled appointments.  We started the morning off with a visit to JLM Couture to see the latest designs by Blush, Hayley Paige and Alvina Valenta.

Here’s a sneak peek:

How amazing are they?  It’s hard to pick when they’re all so gorgeous.

After our appointments at JLM, we walked to the cutest Italian spot called Piccolo Cafe for lunch.  It was a great find with delicious salads, sandwiches, pastas, and the STRONGEST lattes.  Just what we needed!

Next up, Modern Trousseau.  We always love our appointments with Modern Trousseau.  They actually have a flagship boutique right in the heart of the Garment District where they showcase all of their gowns.  It’s so personal and Callie, the designer, is there to present the entire collection to you.

Stay tuned for updates from day 2 of bridal market tomorrow.  We are going to visit with Alyne by Rivini.  It’s a tough job, I tell ya.
